An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our well established, motivated and forward thinking osteoporosis team at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend as a band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist

Clinical:

The CNS will be expected to provide support the consultant in the assessment, diagnostic investigations and management of patients referred to the Osteoporosis outpatient service. They will need be able to undertake a clinical examination, request and interpret biochemistry, haematology, Dexa scans.

Education- provision of education to a multi-professional audience around specialist area of practice and to patient and families. Maintenance of own education and a live portfolio of evidence in line with HEIW Enhanced and Advanced Framework for Wales and HB requirements.

Leadership:

Support service change. Implement clinical guidelines and policies.

Research- use of Evidence Based Practice. Undertake/ support QiP and audit projects related to specialist area of practice
