Job overview

Are you looking for a new, dynamic, and different nursing challenge caring for children?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to join the Apheresis team. We are looking for a paediatric Oncology nurse or nurse with Apheresis experience.

You must have well-developed organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong communicator. You will have an opportunity to work both autonomously and as part of a team, to ensure families are provided with support and a smooth patient experience. The successful candidate will have the confidence to engage and work with a range of colleagues at all levels and from all professional groups.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a team delivering ground-breaking treatment to children with life threatening diseases.

The role includes managing your own case load of patients requiring apheresis for T-cell or stem cell collection.

You will have continuous contact with patients and their families, make referrals to NHS Blood and Transplant for the apheresis procedure, and take consent and co-ordinate the procedure.

The role also includes managing junior members of the apheresis team. We understand this might be a completely new role for you and will fully support your development within this position.

If this sounds like you something you might be interested in, please apply.

We welcome informal visits.
