Clinical Leader - Ward 9

Job overview

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed Registered Nurses to our family here on Ward 9 and Coniston Suite at Furness General Hospital.  Ward 9 is a busy medical ward with specialities in gastroenterology and cardiology. The ward also incorporates the newly 11 bedded refurbished inpatient oncology/haematology suite. We are Gold Standard accredited ward for providing high standards of care for our end of life patients and take pride in our designated maple suite.  Our team pride themselves on exceeding the expectations of our patients and their families and you can be assured of our commitment to your personal and professional development.  Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

Main duties of the job

Provide effective leadership and support to all grades of staff.

Ensure the ward is clean and provides a safe environment for patients and staff.

To deputise for the Ward Manager when required.

Participate in directorate/management responsibilities.
