We are looking to recruit a band 6 Clinical Lead (part time - 30 hours) to work on our Female Adult Acute Mental Health ward at Foss Park Hospital York.

Main duties of the job

As the Clinical Lead you would be expected to have excellent leadership and organisational skills, work closely with a variety of different professional teams across North Yorkshire and the wider organisation, develop and mentor staff within your team and work alongside the Ward Manager ensuring that the ward continues to provide the highest standards of care. We will support you by offering regular supervision, training opportunities and encourage your development and role within this developing team on the delivery of Patient Centred Care, support for carers and evidence based practice.

On Ebor Ward, you will work alongside a team of nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists and medics as part of a large multi-disciplinary team approach striving towards excellent patient care. You will be expected to carry out all aspects of patient care including medication, one to one time with patients, observations including physical health observations, co-ordination of the shift and nurse in charge. We offer a full induction process and training to ensure you have the required confidence, knowledge and skills for this role.

Each inpatient ward is fully equipped with activity and therapeutic spaces to enable patients to recover in a timely way so that they can be safely discharged back into their community with identified support packages.
