Leeds Childrens Hospital provides a wide range of specialist paediatric care, which is greater than most childrens hospitals in the UK. These specialities include: There are excellent facilities including 4 dedicated paediatric ultrasound rooms, 2 mobile ultrasound machines, 2 radiographic rooms, a fluoroscopy suite, nuclear medicine facilities, shared use of 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla MRI scanners, three multi-slice CT scanners and an angiography suite. This vibrant and supportive department offers potential candidates the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide spectrum of Paediatric Radiology with a diverse and fascinating case load. Dedicated training in a variety of sub-specialties including paediatric intervention can also be offered. Active involvement in audit, research, presentation at national and international meetings as well as participation in local courses is strongly encouraged. Leeds Teaching Hospitals is home to the West Yorkshire Radiology Academy and during the position contribution to the teaching of Radiology resident doctors will be expected.
