Job overview

Looking to achieve excellent work–life balance while strengthening your clinical experience and CV?

This Orthogeriatric Clinical Fellow post at Ysbyty Gwynedd offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in the management of older trauma and orthopaedic patients within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Based on Ogwen Ward, you will work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, geriatricians, nursing staff and therapists to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care.

This is a ward‑based role with no on‑call commitments, making it ideal for doctors seeking predictable hours alongside meaningful clinical experience.

Ysbyty Gwynedd has close links with Bangor University, offering additional opportunities for education and professional development, all set within the outstanding lifestyle of North Wales.

Main duties of the job

See full job description and personal specification duties. These posts are not part of a national core training scheme but will offer similar training opportunities to clinical fellows at CT level.  A comprehensive teaching programme will provide access to protected consultant led teaching opportunities.

We are an exciting diverse department, with ample exposure to trauma and elective activity, which becomes increasingly busy during peak holiday periods. The post holders will be encouraged to undertake research as well as audit projects, with access to a generous study budget, supported by the Orthopaedic clinical team.
