Clinical fellow in Paediatric Rheumatology (Equivalent of ST4-8)
6 months Fixed Term position (possibility of extension)
Full Time with OOH commitment
An exciting opportunity has opened up within the Rheumatology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, which offers candidates the chance to gain first-hand experience of this paediatric specialty working in an exciting and unique environment within a busy children’s hospital.
As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team you will be included as a middle grade in the educational and training activities of the department and the workload will be shared amongst 3 Specialist Registrar, 4 Clinical Fellows and 2 Honorary Fellows. Flexible working is required to ensure smooth handover between the middle grades, and provide continuous cover for the inpatients and day cases. This post does not involve an ‘out of hours’ commitment of long days, weekends or nights. Annual Leave and Study leave is covered prospectively within the team.
This post is available from July 2026. The post provides ideal experience for someone wishing to further develop a special interest in Paediatric Rheumatology including those who wish to consolidate their previous experience/training in Rheumatology. MRCPCH (or equivalent) is essential.

Scope of the role
Within the clinical rheumatology service workload will be split with 1 SpR and 5 clinical fellows. This will allow adequate time for post holders to attend training opportunities within the working time directive. Annual and study leave will be cross-covered within the team.
