Clinical Fellow in Gastrointestinal Imaging
Applications are invited from senior trainees for the LNWUH Gastrointestinal Imaging Clinical Fellowship.
The post holder will participate in all areas of lower Gastrointestinal imaging activity within the Department of Radiology, with a unique opportunity to attend the complex cancer imaging MDT associated with a multidisciplinary clinic, in addition to the standard GI MDT meetings.
This post is not a deanery training post and candidates will need to have obtained a CCT prior to starting the post.
There is an call commitment between 1 in 7.
Main duties of the job
- Prepare and present cases at a range of predominantly lower GI clinico-radiological conferences (including cancer MDTs).
- Will have the opportunity to prepare and present Complex lower GI cancer cases, as well as participate in the direct patient clinics with other core members of the complex cancer team.
- Report and perform CTC under appropriate supervision.
- Contribute to the general GI workload of the department including complex GI fluoroscopy, ultrasound (including small bowel, endo-anal US, and endo-rectal US), CTE, MRE and if appropriate CT/ ultrasound guided intervention. The CT/MRI sessions are tailored to GI imaging, focussing on exams including perianal fistula, small bowel and complex pelvic floor disease and pelvic cancers.
