Applications are invited for the above post in the Emergency Department based at Glan Clwyd Hospital. This post will involve ward duties with a contribution to out of hours shifts in the Acute Medical Unit and the Emergency Department. The post holder will be supported in their professional development and will gain excellent clinical experience.

Main duties of the job

This post is based at the Glan Clwyd Hospital, which is one of the 3 sites of the Health Board.

With approximately 58,000 attendances per year, our department has a workload to keep you interested and challenged, but still give you time to talk to your patients properly, whilst delivering excellent patient care. We are also a Trauma Unit practicing ETC models of trauma care and take an active role in the Trauma Network. The department is staffed with a mixture of Consultants, SAS Doctors (24/7 Tier 2 rota in operation) and juniors. In addition there is a strong nursing team including an evolving team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
