
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. Applications are invited for Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia to work within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. These posts will be based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. These posts are currently available and we would welcome applications from the UK, EU and Non EU Doctors.
These posts will offer a balanced mixture of elective and emergency work. During the week the successful candidates will work in Theatre and their job plan will be structured according to their specific interests and departmental needs. The successful candidates will be encouraged to take part in teaching and audit and will also be required to participate in the out of hours’ rota. The department is committed to continuing education and training of all staff and encourage active participation in clinical governance.
The post holder will also be required to support with 1st ON emergency cover and this includes facilitating inter-hospital transfers off site of both level 2 and level 3 patients requiring escalation of care.
There will be opportunity to participate in both daytime on out of hours sessions based within the maternity unit at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The frequency of this will be discussed at interview.
You will be expected to have full GMC registration, a license to practice and a minimum of 4 years’ (full time or equivalent) Postgraduate training, of which at least 2 years’ training must be within Anaesthesia. Possession of the FRCA part 1 is desirable.
