Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Educator in Haematology and Oncology.

This is an excellent opportunity to influence patient care through education, contribute to service development, and support the delivery of high-quality cancer and Haematology services within the Trust.

You will lead on the design, delivery and evaluation of clinical education programmes, supporting both newly appointed staff and experienced practitioners. This will include contributing to preceptorship, competency frameworks, and ongoing clinical skills development in line with national standards and Trust priorities.

Main duties of the job

Undertake formal and informal training sessions to nursing staff in Haematology and Oncology.

To work clinically with staff and in Haematology and Oncology and support them in achieving and maintaining competencies within the skillset of SACT administration CVAD care and the care of Oncology and Haematology patients.

To maintain accurate records of staff training.

To work closely with management to review and update training pathways for staff working in the out patient and inpatient setting.
