An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NHS England Approved Clinical Coding Trainer to join Northern Care Alliance (NCA) as our Clinical Coding Training Manager.
At NCA you’ll lead training across one of the widest ranges of specialties of any NHS trust — from obstetrics and neonates to spinal, neurosurgery, rehab and major trauma. Few trusts can match this breadth. You will support and develop our established coding team while shaping structured pathways for future talent.
As Clinical Coding Training Manager, you will lead and evolve our internal training programme in partnership with our audit team and senior leadership. You will assess learning needs, shape trainee pathways and deliver high-quality education that supports progression to the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC) and well beyond.
You will build workforce capability, embed national standards and local policies, drive quality improvement and expand trainer capacity.
Applicants must be an NHS England Approved Clinical Coding Trainer with substantial experience, strong leadership skills and a passion for developing others.
What we offer: • Flexibility – hybrid or remote working with flexi-time. • Breadth – exposure to a highly complex NHS casemix. • Influence – the opportunity to shape a future-focused Trust-wide training framework. • Community – a collaborative coding team within one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country.
If you are ready to make a lasting impact, we’d love to hear from you!
