Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for training within the Clinical Coding Team (one-to-one training, as well as deliver national clinical coding courses and specialty workshops.
- To ensure that completeness and quality of clinical coded data are up to the highest standard.
- To take part in the regular update and development of the Clinical Coding Policy & Procedure Document.
- To develop effective team working on site and remotely, to achieve and maintain a highly trained workforce to meet national standards and the organisation’s requirements.
- To undertake internal audits to support internal Clinical Coding Audit Policy and assist with external audits.
- To communicate and liaise with clinicians, service managers, commissioning on complex coding issues.
