The clinical coding department of Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for determining the clinical coding of around 12,000 episodes of care per month. Candidates will be required to demonstrate an extensive understanding of ICD-10 5th Edition and OPCS 4.10 classifications, as well as a thorough understanding of National Clinical Coding standards and conventions.  All applicants will need to have experience of clinical coding across a wide range of specialities in an acute NHS Trust setting. A good knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology is also required.
