Job overview

A rare opportunity has arisen to work for Sheffield Teaching Hospital's as a Band 5 Clinical Coder.

We seek to employ committed and enthusiastic Clinical Coders who have a desire to work towards the improvement of clinical coded data for the purposes of statistical analysis and Trust income.

Flexible patterns of working can be accommodated and with the anticipated introduction of a full EPR in July 2025, remote working opportunities will become available.

Main duties of the job

Applicants are required to :-

Possess the National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ) UK.

Have experience of using ICD-10 and OPCS-4.10 classifications in an acute hospital setting.

Have experience coding a wide variety of specialties.

Collaborate with peers and clinicians to share knowledge and resolve coding queries.

Maintain accuracy whilst working under pressure and to deadlines.

Mentoring junior staff.
