The post holder will need experience in completing assessments, running groups and delivering mental health interventions in person. They will also be required to support and work collaboratively with our colleagues within the CMHT's along with and the other organisations and allied teams in our care group.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Associate in Psychology, you will alongside the existing Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Psychological Therapists and the wider multidisciplinary teams. The team are experienced and very supportive and collaborative, and your views and contributions will be welcomed and supported. Your duties could include: The provision of psychological assessment, formulation, individual and group interventions, for older people and people of all ages with a dementia.

Working closely with qualified Clinical Psychologists to set up clinical pathways. Undertaking appropriate clinical work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. Ad-hoc assessments alongside the clinical psychologists observing older people at home and in care settings.

It will involve structured information gathering from older people/relatives/carers/care staff including life histories using service proformas. Including active participation in multidisciplinary case discussion and formulation meetings. Involvement in development of policies and project work and data gathering for audit and research purposes link.
