The role:
We’re seeking a skilled clinician to work within our neurodevelopmental multidisciplinary team (or equivalent), providing evidence-based assessments and treatments for children and young people and their families. This will involve a mix of individual clinical work and involvement in the provision of group interventions. You will work with children and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mental health difficulties. Working within this supportive multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver individual and group work, manage your own caseload, and help shape service improvement.

Key responsibilities:
- Clinical assessment — Conduct developmentally appropriate assessments using interviews, observation, psychometrics, and information from families, carers, and groups. Identify predisposing, precipitating, and maintaining factors.
- Case formulation — Develop clear formulations covering aetiology, maintaining processes, and recommended interventions. Communicate these effectively to families, referrers, and partner agencies.
- Evidence‑based intervention — Deliver individual and group treatments aligned with the formulation. Monitor progress across emotional, cognitive, and behavioural domains.
- Specialist caseload management — Hold and manage a caseload of children and young people with mild to moderate mental‑health needs. Seek supervisory input for complex presentations.
- Professional practice — Engage in reflective practice, attend supervision, maintain accurate records, meet reporting requirements, and comply with Child Protection and NHS GG&C policies.
- Service contribution — Provide training to professionals and carers, participate in multidisciplinary work, contribute to audits and research, and support service development.
- Training and supervision — Offer supervision to graduate psychologists when required and maintain ongoing CPD and PDP objectives.
