Children's Senior Physiotherapy Assistant-  Band 4 - 33.75 hours, Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a children’s Physiotherapy assistant within the ISCAN team (Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs). We are a multi-agency team, consisting of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dieticians and nurses.

Our Physiotherapy service delivers specialist care to children and young people 0-19 years with a variety of health needs which impact their physical and functional abilities.

A dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced person is required to join our friendly, motivated and highly skilled team.  The applicant should be an excellent communicator and have relevant experience of working with children and young people. You will have support from experienced colleagues within the Physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team and have regular supervision from your line manager.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as a member of the Physiotherapy team, supporting the delivery of parent and family centred care, with supervision and support available from a designated therapist. They will be able to work independently with service users within the scope of the role and operational policies, protocols, and procedures. Work may be in clinics, nurseries, schools or families’ homes and will include demonstrating and delivering therapy interventions, amending therapy plans where appropriate.  The post holder will review, adjust and provide guidance on the use of specialist equipment. The post holder will have a commitment to collaborative working, liaising with other health, education and social care professionals and agencies as required.
