Job summary

Due to promotion we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified ACP registered Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to join our team.

This is a full time post.

The post holder will be based in one of the clinics within Worcestershire CAMHS and be part of their friendly and hard-working multi-disciplinary teams as well as part of a countywide Psychotherapy team that meets weekly and offers support and opportunities for review and development. The ability to travel to meet with, seek support from and work alongside other team members and meet the needs of our patients in any of these three clinics is therefore essential. The successful applicant will have access to appropriate clinical supervision.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals capable of managing their own caseload and striving to support the work of the wider Psychotherapy, Under Fives and CAMHS Teams around them. The post holder will need to have experience of working in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.

If you would like to know more about this opportunity please contact Kara Gledsdale Principal Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist kara.gledsdale@nhs.net

Main duties of the job

With support from the Senior Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist you will be expected to undertake specialist Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy assessments and treatment, including time-limited Psychotherapy where appropriate. In addition, you will have responsibility for assisting in screening referrals to our Under Fives Clinic within CAMHS and offering Under Fives Clinic consultations, assessments and treatment. State of mind assessments and parent work will also be needed.

As a Band 7 Psychotherapist you will be expected to be a part of the integrated CAMHS multidisciplinary teams providing consultations to colleagues to support their work, contributing to case discussions and team formulations and facilitating reflective complex case discussion groups. There may be further opportunities to offer clinical supervision and develop your own specialist interests.
