Job overview
The Chief of Service Planned Care (Integration) will be responsible for providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure that the Care Group provides high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. This will include accountability for high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, and ensuring that the Care Group operates with the needs of patients as its highest priority.
Main duties of the job
Specifically the Chief of Service Planned Care (Integration) will be accountable to the Group Chief Integration Officer for providing senior operational and strategic leadership and will:
- be accountable for the operational performance and strategic development of the Care Group. This will include accountability for the delivery of high quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality and delivery of improved financial efficiency.
- have joint responsibility with the Group Chiefs of Service and Executive Leadership Team for driving forward corporate and cross cutting programmes of work and service direction
- work closely with the Executive Directors as part of the senior leadership team to shape and implement the corporate strategy and annual objectives
- lead on and ensure strategic alignment across the Group and particularly across the Care Groups
- build and further development external relationships across the Healthcare Community e.g. with Primary Care, PCNA, Cluster ICB, Neighbourhood Board, Local Authorities, Universities and National Bodies
