This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Acute Care Collaborative have come together as part of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) as an Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) to invest in Electronic Patient Record (EPR) functionality. This is to meet the needs of our whole ICS population, recognising that the organisation of clinical care needs to change and develop radically in order to meet the challenges we face.
The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) is a nursing leader responsible and accountable for advancing clinical quality and patient safety through the delivery of the EPR programme with regards to nursing and AHP work practices. This role is pivotal in transforming patient care through innovative digital solutions.
Possessing outstanding communication skills, the CNIO is the translator and main point of liaison for nursing informatics, nursing and midwifery management and digital professionals. Working alongside the local Trust CNIOs, CCIOs and programme team, the CNIO will own the strategic vision for how the EPR will enhance nursing and midwifery practices, clinical quality, and patient safety and the nursing digital work on the selection, development, and deployment of the chosen solution to ensure smooth integration into nursing clinical workflows. The post holder will promote and champion the EPR across the ICS.
The role will include a mix of home and cross site working.
