Job overview

North London NHS Foundation Trust is embarking on an ambitious transformation to redefine how mental health care is delivered across North Central London. As part of our Mental Health Provider Review, we are focused on delivering four key aims: reducing health inequalities, eliminating service variation, improving outcomes for service users, and creating a sustainable workforce.

As we align with the government’s forthcoming ten-year plan, which calls for a shift from hospital to community, analogue to digital, and sickness to prevention, we are recruiting a Chief Digital, Information and Performance Improvement Officer to drive our digital transformation agenda.

This is a pivotal Board-level role, reporting directly to the Chief Executive, with strategic responsibilities spanning the Trust. You will lead the Trust’s digital and information strategy, ensuring technology and data are leveraged to enhance patient care, improve performance, and create operational excellence across services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible to the Chief Executive for developing and delivering the Trust’s Digital and Information strategy.  They will provide strategic support to the Chair, Chief Executive and the other Board members.

  • Lead the development and delivery of the Trust’s Digital and Information Strategy
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives including data governance, digital infrastructure, and systems innovation
  • Ensure robust information security and compliance with data protection standards
  • Lead the strategic application of new and emerging technologies, including responsible use of Artificial Intelligence
  • Embed digital solutions that support a high-performing, efficient and responsive mental health service
  • Work in close partnership with system leaders across North Central London to support a digitally enabled, neighbourhood-based NHS
