Job overview

  • In this role you will support and provide a high-quality service to children and young people (and their families) experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. This will be done through direct delivery of evidence based CBT interventions to support the recovery of young people referred to the service, utilising skills and knowledge of CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice. This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards.

If required, you may be expected to undertake further training i.e. Supervisor’s Training Course.

Main duties of the job

To provide Cognitive Behaviour Therapy within the Core Community CAMHS Team, including assessment, formulation and intervention for children/young people as determined by need. To provide CBT consultation and support to other clinical members of the team who provide care and treatment. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the governance of psychological therapy practice with the specialism.
