An opportunity has arisen for x2 a Carer & Patient Experience Workers to join the Carer & Patient Experience Team at Rampton Hospital. Rampton is a national high secure hospital and is based in rural North Nottinghamshire.
To support Carers, family and volunteers in their engagement, participation and involvement towards patient care and visiting the hospital. The role plays a central role in ensuring carers have appropriate network of support around them and play their role in supporting the best health outcomes of the patients who we provide services and support too.
This role includes arranging, booking and facilitating social visits, providing advice and support and ensuring carer voice is captured and represented in a variety of hospital meetings.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled worker visa.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker/Health & Care visa.

Team purpose:
To improve the overall visitor experience of the hospital. To enhance the life of the patient by acting as carer link between patient wards and other departments by raising awareness of and supporting the carer and involvement / participation strategy. To support and champion the carer and patient involvement / experience across the hospital.
NB: this is not an exhaustive list of duties and may be changed in line with service needs in conjunction with the post holder.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
