Cardiac Support Worker

Job overview

To perform basic cardiac diagnostic tests on patients within the trust and in the community clinic. Assists Cardiac Physiologists during cardiac diagnostic testing. Document tests undertaken and accurately enter test results/reports.

Main duties of the job

• ¨       Performs a range of basic cardiac diagnostic tests, including:

Electrocardiograms

Ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring

Cardiac event/loop recordings

• ¨       Assist Cardiac Physiologists by preparing patients for more advanced cardiac investigations. ¨       Assisting patients attending the cardiology department to prepare for tests whilst maintaining privacy and dignity
