Job overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic cardiac physiologist or 3rd year PTP student (subject to qualification and local competency completion). The role involves rotating through invasive and non-invasive diagnostic cardiology including cardiac catheter laboratory and pacemaker/ICD implantation procedures, helping to ensure they are carried out to the highest possible standard.

The postholder will work 37.5 hours per week, subject to extended working days and weekend working in addition to on-call duties.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to work on a rotational basis as part of the multidisciplinary team within the cardiac catheterisation laboratory, participating in an on-call rota to ensure continuous emergency cover out of hours.

Continuous clinical and technical advances require that the duties of the post will change and evolve; the post holder has a duty to ensure that his or her knowledge is kept up to date.

The job involves working cross site between The James Cook University Hospital and the Friarage Hospital (Northallerton).

Please note that this vacancy will close when we receive sufficient completed applications.
