An opportunity has arisen in the Security Team at CUH.

You will be responsible for overseeing the operational car parking services; under the direction of the Head of Trust Security, by ensuring continued high level service delivery to the CUH Trust, through the implementation of effective leadership, operational planning and process management.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the Trust’s car parking policies and procedures and for auditing the application of these procedures.

You will liaise effectively with managers and services to make complex decisions that will impact on the parking across the Trust. This will involve complex and sometimes controversial conversations with supply partners, that require diplomacy and decisions to be made that may not be popular. Excellent negotiation skills will be required to reach an end result that is workable.

You will provide a central advisory and information service on all matters concerning car parking.  Based on current Approved Codes of Practice (ACOP’s), British and European standards, together with all other national initiatives and directives on parking.

Main duties of the job

Accountable for the car parking services and lead the development by maintaining and enhancing the standard of the whole operation in accordance with the service needs and contracts to ensure consistent service delivery.

Effectively utilise a number of IT applications developing specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience being responsible for the operational management of the access control systems.

Collate data for financial analysis and recharging purposes across the Trust through identified parking systems and associated reporting matrix's.

Ensure that any risks related to area of responsibility are monitored and risk assessments updated, tracking all changes through the Trust risk register.

Report and liaise on a daily basis with the Head of Service to ensure effective communication of all matters pertaining to the operational delivery of a high level service.
