The role of the Community CAMHS Nurse in the Autism and Learning Disabilities Team will be to provide CAMHS nursing input to young people aged between 12-18 years in the Autism Assessment pathway and to young people aged 3-25 in the Autism and Learning Disability therapies pathway.
This will involve intensive working as part of an MDT Team, with a variety of clients in clinic and community settings, including schools. You will provide in-reach to inpatient and residential settings where appropriate and have a key role in relation to local area Dynamic Support Registers and the care, education and treatment review process for young people.
You will be responsible for a defined caseload of clients, delivering a range of evidence-based interventions within a multi-disciplinary team and will receive regular clinical supervision from a senior member of the Service. You will also be expected to work jointly with other members of the team offering specialist CAMHS advice, consultation and training as required.
You will have a keen interest in improving outcomes for young people with Autism and/or Learning Disability. Training in the assessment of Autism will be provided alongside access to the training and CPD opportunities working at the Tavistock and Portman enables
