Main duties of the job

An exciting volunteering opportunity has arisen within Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust for café volunteering.

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals with excellent communication and customer care skills, to assist in running Café at St Michaels Hospital in Warwick.

The role will include serving tea, coffee, snacks, beverages, and toiletries to service users, visitors, and staff whilst promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Our Volunteers need to be:

  • Understanding rather than judgemental about a patient’s situation or circumstances
  • Respectful of a patient’s individuality, respect different cultural values and work in a non-discriminatory manner
  • Able to listen to and communicate with patients, carers and staff

Previous experience of working within a mental health environment is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be given to successful applicants. What’s important is that you possess the qualities outlined in the attached Role Description and can demonstrate CWPT values.
