Main duties of the job

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Business Support Manager in the Population Health Hub, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly, strategically, and in alignment with our mission. Your work will support innovation, efficiency, and team cohesion in a fast-evolving environment.

You will be:

  • Supporting the PHH Management Team in delivering Trust and NHS priorities, and leading on internal service improvements
  • Providing high-level business and operational support to the PHH leadership team
  • Continuously reviewing and refining administrative processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Leading on planning and performance tracking to inform and support strategic decision-making for the PHH
  • Supporting delivery of key projects and initiatives, working closely with stakeholders
  • Co-designing and implementing onboarding processes and team support systems
  • Providing Secretariat and PA support to senior team members
  • Coordinating data collection for the PHH, supporting analysis and reporting to inform decisions and measure impact
  • Championing continuous improvement and service innovation across the team
  • Contributing to internal and external communications to showcase the work of the PHH
  • Supporting financial monitoring and helping ensure optimal use of resources

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role will support the leadership team in delivering an effective business and they will provide strong administrative support to enable this delivery.

The post holder will be responsible for leading comprehensive business support across the PHH. This will include delegated responsibility for specific significant areas of work, as well as general management support. The role will also provide a comprehensive administrative function to ensure delivery of the service/programme.

The post holder will have a pivotal supportive role within the Population Health Hub (PHH). They will be involved in supporting the effective planning, co-ordination and delivery of the department’s strategic objectives, activities, and projects. This will involve clerical and administrative support, developing and implementing processes and providing support to deliver learning and engagement events, and provide essential programme support related to human resource and financial needs across the PHH.

This is a 12-month appointment, in the first instance, funded by the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity however, it is intended that a key outcome for the Hub is to secure an ongoing and sustainable funding arrangement.
