Job summary

Applications are invited for the Birmingham Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship, which provides an excellent opportunity for the trainee to experience the high-volume workload in a supra regional university teaching hospital with multidisciplinary focus. This post is to commence on 5th August 2026 on a fixed term basis until 3rd August 2027.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will be expected to undertake cross-site working with a formal job plan although the on-calls will be based at HGS, the clinics will be mainly at Heartlands and QE Hospitals and the elective theatre sessions will be mainly at Solihull and QE Hospitals (further restructuring may be necessary after the COVID-19 pandemic). The job plan will include a commitment to clinic, theatre and on call duties.

The appointee will be involved in running clinics, theatres and being included in the ENT middle grade on-call rota at Heartlands Hospital.
