We are looking for staff nurses who want an exciting challenge and are seeking to develop new skills. This is a development role over 1 year with the potential to progress to the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training (Health Visiting). We want you to be passionate about Public Health, early intervention and prevention and to want to be part of an integrated service which strives for excellence, loves creativity and supports working together.

We will offer a comprehensive and robust induction programme, with a six-month probation

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Main duties of the job

To support health visitors in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and Whittington Health Trust (Barnet) Health Visiting service specification.

To work across the 0-19 service, based within the Health Visiting teams, to improve health and life outcomes for children and families within a defined community through delivering packages of care/support following assessment by the Health Visitor/Team Leader.

To participate in the development of intervention pathways, services and health improvement activities.

To work in collaboration with other health care and service providers, including Children Centres and Early Years to identify and address health needs.
