The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) is looking for additional doctors to work as part of the multidisciplinary team (HCAs, Nurses, Paramedics, Non-Medical Prescribers) at our Tiverton Urgent Treatment Centre. The UTC sees a variety of injuries and illnesses in all age groups, and offers on-site x-ray and point of care testing. We aim to provide care closer to home and relieve pressure on the urgent and emergency care system.

Main duties of the job

Key aspects of the role will include:

Providing face to face consultations directly with patients, relatives and/or their carers

Providing patient centred care

Using point of care diagnostics to support decision making

Undertaking appropriate prescribing

Provide onward referral of patients if appropriate

Working as part of our clinical team to provide primary care support

Supporting other clinicians in the unit with clinical advice.

Contributing to a positive team ethos.
