Job overview

In your role as a Lithotripsy Practitioner Radiographer you would be responsible for performing Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) procedures, utilizing x-ray or ultrasound guidance to treat kidney stones, providing clinical guidance to colleagues and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams. In addition to clinical duties, the role includes managing the lithotripsy unit for optimal efficiency and quality of service, provide consultancy to other practitioners and clinicians and providing leadership and guidance to a Lithotripsy Practitioner Radiographer within the unit. You would provide training and education whilst both leading and participating in clinical audit and research. You would work alongside the current team in the organisation and continue the development of the ESWL service.
