We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7  radiographer to join our friendly and well-supported team. A requirement of the position is a BSC (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent with recent NHS experience ideally within an acute setting. Our staff also benefit from the inner London high cost area supplement of 20%.

Main duties of the job

The post involves a rotation through a combination of CT, MRI, Cardiac Catheter Labs and Interventional Radiology and experience in two of these modalities is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to coordinate the general x-ray department, overseeing the workflow, liaising with other modalities ensuring sufficient staffing in all areas and managing it’s day to day running on a rotational basis. The department also provides a 24/7 service to our patients and participation in this is essential.

This is a cross-site position, the radiology footprint comprising of a total of 13 x-ray rooms , 2 Interventional Radiology rooms, 2 fluoroscopy rooms, 3 dental x-ray rooms, 4 CT scanners, an EOS scanner, 16 U/S rooms and  3 nuclear medicine rooms with  5 Cardiac Catheter Labs and 3 MRIs All of this enables our staff to benefit from valuable experience and scope of practice in addition to helping us meet the demand on our service.
