Job overview

South Gloucestershire Later Life Locality provides equitable, compassionate and evidence‑based psychological services for older people, people with dementia, and the families, carers and communities who support them.

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for later‑life mental health to deliver specialist assessment and intervention, and to help expand access to psychological care in line with the Community Mental Health Framework and the Long Term Plan for Ageing Well.

This varied and rewarding role offers opportunities across our Later Life Community Services. The postholder will primarily work within the Specialist Care Home and Enhanced Dementia Support Team and Memory Service, with additional opportunities for therapeutic work in the Complex Interventions Team.

You will collaborate with multi‑professional colleagues to develop shared formulations and support psychologically informed care for older people experiencing mental health difficulties and/or neurodegenerative conditions.

As part of the South Gloucestershire Psychological Therapies Service, you will join a well‑established team of psychologists and psychological therapists, with access to supervision, peer support and CPD across models including CBT, MBT, EMDR, Family Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches and Neuropsychology. We actively support further training aligned to specialist interests and service needs.

This is a part‑time role (22.5 hours per week), with availability required on Tuesdays.
