To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner whilst facilitating effective MSK care to a wide range of outpatients within the Trust. To assess and treat own patient caseload as an autonomous and independent practitioner for patients who may have acute, chronic and/or complex MSK presentations; and to maintain appropriate treatment plans, records and data. To supervise, teach and appraise students and support workers where applicable To be involved in the teaching of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), staff and patient education groups. To undertake and present evidence based projects and research, including departmental audit and service improvement changes, under the supervision of line manager. To take an active role in personal continuing professional development that will also enhance the service. To support the physiotherapy management team and represent the department in the organisation and running of the service To work as an autonomous professional according to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy rules of Professional Conduct and Standards of Physiotherapy, and the Health Professions Council’s regulations
Our starting band/grade will be confirmed based on your experience and skills, typically at Band 5, with progression to Band 6 upon successful completion of competency requirements. Candidates with the appropriate experience and qualifications may be appointed directly at Band 6.

Therapy Services work collaboratively with the Orthopaedic, Pain and Rheumatology departments and are involved with numerous Quality Improvement and clinical practice group projects for the Trust.
