We are looking for an enthusiastic Chartered Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team . The post holder will join the Band 5 rotations, between inpatients, outpatients and community.

We are a very friendly, supportive team who encourage newly qualified physios or band 5 applicants who are looking to further expand their knowledge and skills. We actively encourage in-service training and recognise the value of supervision and appraisal. This role includes weekend respiratory and on-call duties.

Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES:

Clinical

  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care.
  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients such as those with presentations of medical and respiratory pathologies, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, paediatric patients, amputees, head injuries and stroke patients.
  • Formulate and deliver a Physiotherapy treatment programme based on sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options. Using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills
  • Assess patient understanding of treatment, gain valid consent and have the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment
  • Evaluate patient progress, re-asses and alter treatment programmes as appropriate
  • Represent Physiotherapy service and/or individual patients at the multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure the delivery of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary service and integrate Physiotherapy treatment in to the treatment programme. This will include discussion of patient care, patient progress and involvement of discharge planning.
