Job overview

The post holder will work as part of a team within the dedicated speciality/ patient group within ears, nose and throat across the Royal Free, Barnet, Chase Farm and North Middlesex hospital to ensure that all administrative functions for patients from the time of GP referral to the time of discharge are coordinated in line with specific care pathway instructions to facilitate the smooth running of the patients’ journey. Where a patient has multiple specialist needs, assist the patient in coordinating their pathways to reduce multiple appointments across the Trust

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced administrator with the ability to work as part of a team to join our Ear, Nose and Throat Department to oversee the patient pathway from referral to treatment, along with other admin duties. The  Ear, Nose and Throat Department is complex and busy, with the successful applicant being a key player in ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively. The role involves building effective working relationships with clinical staff, regular contact with patients and a keen attention to detail.
