Band 3 Inpatient Health Care support worker in Eating Disorders

My name is Julie Stott and I have an exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic health care assistant to join the STEPS Inpatient Eating Disorders Team at Acer Unit, Blackberry Hill Hospital in Bristol. You need to be motivated and have an interest in working with people with eating disorders and will be working as part of a nursing team. Support will be given by the Ward Manager and by peers. We have brilliant supervision structures in place. This is post filled with developmental opportunities. Through this support there is the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in eating disorders, and in increase your competency in your role as a Health care assistant.

Supporting patients with challenges related to treatment for eating disorders. supporting patients at meal and snack time and eating with patients. supporting patients in post meal and snack supervision.

Escorted leave with patients in hospital grounds and also to other appointments.

Attending groups with patients  and having 1-1 sessions with patients conducting observations and 1-1 high level observations
