The AWP Learning & Development Team is looking for an enthusiastic and competent Apprentice Administrator to join our dynamic Bristol team on a Fixed Term 18 month basis. Eligibility for the programme
Eligibility criteria of apprenticeships are dictated by the National Education and Skills Funding Agency and the UK government. Within the funding rules it stipulates that to be eligible for an apprenticeship:
(1) You must have been an ordinary resident of the UK/EU country for at least 3 years prior to the start date of the apprenticeship (which does not include time on a student visa).
(2) You must have enough time remaining on your current visa to cover the full duration of the apprenticeship.
(3) Not completing another government funded programme of learning at the same time as the apprenticeship.
Main duties of the job
Apprenticeship Programme
- Requirement to successfully complete an apprenticeship in Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 whilst meeting the requirements of the role.
- Applicants are required to complete initial assessments, which include English & Math. You need to successfully complete this within 1 week of contact by the apprenticeship training provider. Also, you will have an initial advice and guidance conversation with the provider to discuss eligibility for the apprenticeship programme before an unconditional offer of employment can be made.
Main Duties include:
- To provide support and assistance to the Learning and Development function in a wide range of administrative duties.
- General office duties would include dealing with telephone enquiries, confirming bookings via email, filing and recording information, photocopying resources, setting up training environments, data inputting and generating reports as required.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To assist with general office procedures including, filing and maintaining records for the department.
- To answer telephone and email enquiries and act as a point of contact for the department.
- To photocopy and collate documentation for course programmes.
- To assist with the administration of all training and development activities in accordance with the requirements of the department.
- To provide administrative and clerical support to the function and team members including the accurate and timely data input onto the Learning Management System and the generation of required reports to assist with monitoring and reporting requirements.
- To provide general assistance to course leaders and delegates in relation to courses.
- To provide full administrative support in relation to training courses e.g. to advertise course dates and availability, taking and confirming bookings, providing register.
- To set up equipment and prepare environments for training courses and activities.
- To provide general administrative support as required to the wider Learning and Development team.

Based at Kingswood Civic Centre you will be involved in a range of training administration tasks including; the organisation of training events, booking venues and use of our LEARN system.
