We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Support Workers to join our Older Adults & Stroke Rehabilitation teams, providing high-quality person-centred care on the following wards:
Whether you have previous experience or have never worked in healthcare before, we will help support you on your journey. We are looking for people with good communication skills, reliable and able to work flexibly to join our older adult teams.
As health care professionals we have the privilege of looking after those who can’t always look after themselves, for some it’s a short stay as they recover from the acute phase of their illness and for others it's providing care when they need it most and giving them dignity at the end of their lives.
We provide a 4-week full time induction programme covering all you need to know to contribute to patient care on our wards.
Please be aware that you must be able to attend a full time induction programme for the first 4 weeks in your new role, this must be within 3 months of your interview date.
We would love to hear from you and can guarantee that as a Healthcare Support Worker, no two days will ever be the same.
Interviews will be held face to face only with no remote option available.
Working alongside the wider team you will work with our patients providing support with personal hygiene and nutritional and hydration support, which includes the following:
As a HCSW you will help our patients to remain as independent as they can be in the hospital setting, you will promote comfort to contribute to pain alleviation and work within our Trust guidelines to ensure all patients receive the highest level of patient centred care.
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will be expected to work a combination of shifts including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays:
