Job overview

We are looking for two dynamic and enthusiastic Audiologist to join our  growing team at CTMUHB.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Audiologists. Consideration will be given to applicants who are soon to complete their BSc in Audiology. The department is pro-active in providing CPD training, further academic study and Preceptorship support.

The work is interesting and varied and there is an opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of adult and paediatric Audiology. Services include direct referral, adult rehabilitation and paediatric assessments. The successful candidates will be expected to attend clinics at all the Health Board sites. Candidates should be registered/eligible for registration with the RCCP or The Academy of Healthcare Science.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This means Speaking & Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2). We don’t need fluency. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. For more information, see the ‘Croeso Candidate’ booklet below.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this post is to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative input to patients regarding their hearing difficulties.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder would be expected to undertake a wide range audiological investigations on adults and children. Additionally, to plan and deliver  audiological and rehabilitative treatments on patients who have hearing impairments and that may have complex additional needs i.e. patients who have mental health problems, disabilities and tinnitus. Assistance with paediatric audiological service provision on an adhoc basis.
