We are looking to appoint an individual to work in the Head and Neck team. The role will be to provide administrative support to the medical secretarial team and to also support with audiotyping when needed.  Candidates must be highly motivated and able to multi-task in a busy administration office. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be expected to work with a diverse range of people. Good IT skills and attention to detail are also a must; we aim to deliver a high standard of service to our patients and medical team. The department oversees a high volume workload, so you must be able to demonstrate experience of meeting deadlines. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.

Main duties of the job

  • Duties will include storage, retrieval and archiving of case notes to support outpatient episodes,  customer service, patient registration and data input.
  • Maintain knowledge of filing systems and ability to file casenotes in correct location. Understand importance of accurate and timely filing.
  • If casenotes are not in main storage areas use tracking system to locate and request where necessary.
  • Update LE2.2 tracking system to show location and current status of casenotes in relation to document management.
  • Filing confidential information away into the casenotes.
  • Retrieving casenotes for consultants, secretaries or nurses.
  • Clinical transcription/audiotyping
