An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Associate Group Manager to work with the Emergency Medicine Group. This is an exciting opportunity as a senior manager supporting the clinical teams as they develop and implement patient focused models of care. You will be responsible for supporting the day to day operational management of Emergency Medicine and will be a key player in supporting the organisation to deliver excellent, high quality services for our patients.

The role of Associate Group Manager works closely with the Clinical Leads and Matrons to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective care for our patients ensuring we provide an excellent experience for our patients and meet our regulatory and operational performance targets. You will be resilient, confident and possess the skills that will enable you to understand the service: you will be creative in your approach to problem solving and have an ability to think differently.
It is essential that you are a team player, have excellent people and leadership skills and the credibility and ability to work with and influence at every level to deliver innovation and performance. You will work closely with the team to monitor daily performance as well as ensuring the departments staffing and resources are maximised. you will work with clinicians as well as the wider management team to both continually improve the specialty, and support the delivery of the group’s plans.
The post holder will be a highly visible and credible manager and have strong leadership qualities in the development and provision of a comprehensive, high quality, patient centered care service. They will have excellent interpersonal skills allowing them to work closely with clerical staff, senior management and clinical staff alike. They must be able to raise the profile of the group across the organisation and critically, they must be passionate about delivering a world class service to patients.
The Associate Group Manager is responsible to the Group Manager for Acute & Emergency Medicine and provides a managerial focus with the Clinical Lead in the development and provision of a comprehensive, high quality, patient centred service within the resources available. The post has key functions: operational management of the specialty, including the delivery of performance against financial and activity targets; supporting the development and delivery of service strategy; organisational development and the management of risk.
