An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Therapy Team based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys. We are looking for an Assistant Therapy Practitioner to join our established, friendly and experienced team.

The role will require a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to show initiative, have good communication and organisational skills, being able to prioritise a caseload in a busy community setting.

If you have had experience in a Therapy Assistant role, and are looking to further develop your career, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The Community Therapy service provides multidisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation for adults in their own homes as well as for those in inpatient beds across South Powys. The team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Therapy Practitioners, Rehabilitation Therapy Assistants and Administrative Support staff.

The post holder will assess, implement, treat and progress patients in accordance with agreed protocols and treatment regime under the supervision of the qualified therapist. This will include working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency arena, alongside other members of local multidisciplinary teams.

If you are committed to providing excellent patient care, are flexible in your approach and enjoy collaborative team working then the Community Therapy Service will offer you the opportunity to further develop your skills. Assistant Therapy  Practitioners are a valued and highly respected part of the service and are key to delivering Allied Health Professional programmes alongside registered Physiotherapists and Occupational therapists.

We would particularly welcome applications from Welsh speakers; but even if you don’t speak any Welsh, or want to develop your skills, don’t worry: the health board will support you with training.
