The NHS Talking Therapies Service in East and South East Hertfordshire, covering Welwyn, Ware, Bishops Stortford and surrounding towns and villages, is looking to employ an Assistant Psychologist.
The Assistant Psychologist plays a central role in ensuring our service is of the best quality, with the best outcomes for our service users.
Hertfordshire was one of the original 11 Pathfinder sites for the development of Talking Therapies Services, commencing in 2007/8 and has since developed through 1st and 2nd wave expansion sites to provide a well resourced and innovative Talking Therapies service across the whole of the county. Our Trust has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ status by the Care quality Commission and our Talking Therapies Service is APPS accredited.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Assistant Psychologist in ESE Talking Therapies is to support the work of staff in the Primary Care Service, including providing psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist or CBT therapist. To assist in audit and data collection and the development of research and innovation projects. To work independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified Psychologist and within the overall framework of HPFT’s policies and procedures.
