This post offers a 12 month fixed term opportunity to gain broad experience of delivering psychological support within a multi-disciplinary team. We are committed to training and development and you should expect to access all relevant CPD for your role whilst in this post, supervision and opportunities for reflective practice.

Main duties of the job

You will join a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of Clinical Psychologists, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Learning Disability Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Systemic Practitioner and Support Workers, working closely with social care teams, specialist schools and colleges and local care providers.  It is therefore essential that you are a team player.

You will be supervised and supported by a qualified psychologist to deliver specialist assessment and therapeutic interventions with young people and their families, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment, care planning and safeguarding.

Additionally, this varied role will include supporting the team in the collection of routine outcome measures, co-facilitation of groups, teaching, audit, participation/co-production projects and developing resources to support the delivery of the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Please note, you must have a full and valid driving licence due to the community element of the role and the large geographical area that the LD CAMHS team cover.
