An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work alongside the Director for Psychological Professions and the Psychological Professions Workforce and Innovation Lead, on projects associated with the ongoing development of the psychological professions here at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

The role will involve working on a range of projects, supporting the current priorities, primarily related to workforce developments. We will support the successful applicant to access the pre-registered psychology peer network, which is provided within the Trust.

The post will provide valuable experience, insight and preparation for next steps into a Psychological Professions career.

Whilst the post is largely focused on project work, there will be also be clinically focused opportunities within the Trust’s psychological services for approximately one day per week.

We have funding for one role, 4 days per week, for 12 months.

You will have excellent organisation skills, be able to manage and maintain upkeep of different databases and be skilled in both statistical analyses (for example, using SPSS and excel), interpreting results and producing reports. Excellent writing skills will be required.

Main duties of the job

You will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist to do the following:

Liaise with all stakeholders/project partners for each project

Review national and local guidance e.g. around qualifications, training and supervision

Keep, update and manage databases.

Run statistical analyses and interpret results.

Collate & interpret qualitative information and descriptive statistics.

Support in the writing of articles.

Support in the development of specific proposals relevant to the project (e.g. career frameworks, training and development)

Write up projects relating to workforce.

Contribute to clinical services, service to be agreed
