Job overview

We are looking for an "Outstanding" Assistant Childcare Practitioner to join our friendly team at the Charing Cross Day Nursery. The nursery is registered for 50 children between the ages 6 months to 5 years and opens from 7.30am - 6.00pm daily, 52 weeks of the year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, dedicated Assistant Childcare Practitioner to join our team for a fixed term post. Craft captivating and educational adventures and journeys, drawing inspiration from experience and guidelines in the EYFS Curriculum to develop and create a tailored engaging individual developmental journey.

Due to this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks.

This role requires shift patterns between the hours of 7:15 am to 6:00 pm.

Total working hours per week 37.5 per week.

Main duties of the job

Assist Childcare Practitioners in providing a caring, safe, learning and stimulating environment for children’s’ growth and development in accordance with EYFS and OFSTED regulations.

Actively promote and support the safeguarding of children in the setting, ensuring child protection policies and procedures are always observed,

Contribute with planning of activities suitable to the age range of children that provide an excellent quality of care and education that considers individual background and varied cultural needs

Act as a key person to named children carrying out observations/developmental reports.  To establish positive relationships with parents/carers, children and staff.
